Last Call for the Chocolate Fair

February 11, 2011

So today I didn’t wake up til 1…which is completely understandable seeing as how I didn’t go to bed til after 5 in the morning…nuts! But Nick wasn’t awake when I got up, so it looked like we definitely weren’t doing the zoo thing today. And Claire had woke me up around 10 wondering if I was going to Assisi…clearly she didn’t get the info about me not wanting to do that. But since Lauren missed her alarm to wake up and get ready for Assisi Claire decided she didn’t want to go to Assisi with just Jesse and Bria, so basically WE ruined her whole day. I honestly was completely content having a quiet day to do homework and relax since Jackie and Sarah had left earlier in the morning to go Amsterdam for the weekend and Marissa and Danielle were in London. I did all of my reading for Art History when Lauren asked if I would want to come to the school to print out all of the things we needed for the Iron & Wine concert for tomorrow and the hostel we were staying in after the concert in Bologna.

We messaged Ivy who was going to meet us at the school to print out our things, and then head to the Chocolate Fair because all of the stands are leaving on Sunday, and we had to get our fill before the fair ended! At the chocolate fair I was determined to not get anything because my stomach has been killing me with all of my cheese, milk, and chocolate consumption! However, we saw this awesome pretzel/bread pizza-looking things and they had a plain one that was just the pretzel/bread with salt on it..it was so delicious and was only 1 euro! Of course the saltyness made me extremely thirsty, so I decided to buy a hot chocolate, which is practically warm chocolate syrup…it is so thick!..and I decided I probably should take a lactate pill and washed it down with some lactose…smart, right? But so worth it!

After we had our chocolate fill we headed to Nick’s house to see what was going on and we sat around long enough that he got up and made us dinner! What a gentleman! He made us zucchini pasta and rosemary potatoes..perfect! When I got home from Nick’s it was time to pack my stuff for the morning…we were meeting at the train station at 10 a.m. to catch our train to Bologna. I didn’t really want to take a whole lot with me because we were only staying one night and I didn’t want to carry a ton of stuff, so all I packed were my leggings, a t-shirt, toiletries, and my wallet. Ready for bed and ready for a fantastic day tomorrow!
